Rosanna, I loved the colors on your quest! Very appropriate for your subject focus! Caterpillars are interesting little creatures. I once read an article about some type of butterfly that migrates all the way down to Mexico from Canada, pretty amazing! Your second graders will love this webquest, maybe after that we could do my Mexican fiesta webquest with them! :)
Just to comment on Amber's comment there is a butterfly migration project that I've done with my fifth graders in conjunction with the Spanish teacher a few years ago. I've actually done a few times, once school-wide and then again with just a few classes. It's pretty neat. The students make paper butterflies and then send them to Mexico. Then butterflies are sent back, mimicking migration and each student enters which butterfly ended up with tham and our location on the website and then they can see where their butterfly went. The project is run by Journey North - http://www.learner.org/jnorth/sm/index.html (copy & paste that to find out more)
